Professional Emergency HVAC Services

True 24/7 emergency service โ€” nights, weekends, and holidays. Charlie personally answers many calls. Fast response when you need it most.

At ARP Heat And Air, we bring over 14+ years of HVAC experience to every job. Our owner Charlie personally oversees service quality and is known for honest assessments and fair pricing. We service all major brands including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, Amana, Daikin, York, and Bryant.

What Counts as an HVAC Emergency

Call us immediately for: no heat during freezing temperatures (pipes can burst), a gas smell near your furnace (evacuate first, then call), carbon monoxide detector alarming, complete AC failure during extreme heat (dangerous for elderly, children, and pets), water actively leaking from your HVAC system, or electrical burning smell from your equipment.

Our Emergency Response

When you call (405) 413-0583 for an emergency, Charlie or a team member answers โ€” not a call center, not a voicemail. We ask targeted questions to understand the severity and safety risk, then dispatch immediately. Charlie has personally arrived at emergency calls within 30 minutes. We carry common emergency parts (capacitors, ignitors, contactors, fan motors) on our trucks so we can often resolve the issue in one visit.

Emergency Pricing

We believe emergencies shouldn't be an excuse to overcharge. Our emergency rates are fair โ€” customers regularly mention our reasonable emergency pricing in reviews. One customer wrote about calling at 6:45 PM on a Saturday in 96-degree heat โ€” Charlie was there by 7:15 PM and "didn't overcharge." That's how we operate, even at midnight on a holiday.

Preventing Emergencies

Most HVAC emergencies are preventable with annual maintenance. A spring AC tune-up catches failing capacitors and low refrigerant before they strand you in July heat. A fall furnace inspection catches cracked heat exchangers and worn ignitors before they fail during an ice storm. The $100-$150 you spend on maintenance saves $500-$2,000 in emergency repairs.

What Counts as an HVAC Emergency

Not every HVAC problem needs emergency response. Understanding what's urgent vs what can wait until morning helps you make the right call โ€” and saves you the premium charges some companies add to emergency visits.

True emergencies (call us immediately, any hour):

Gas smell near the furnace. Shut off gas at the meter if safe, open windows, leave the house, and call from outside. Gas leaks don't wait until morning.

Carbon monoxide alarm. Get everyone outside. Call us from outside. Do not re-enter until we've verified the system is safe.

No heat in freezing weather with pipes at risk. Frozen pipes burst. Water damage from a burst pipe costs $5,000-$50,000. A 2 AM service call is cheaper.

No AC when heat index is 100ยฐ+ and someone vulnerable is in the home. Infants, elderly, pets, or anyone with medical conditions โ€” heat exhaustion is a real risk in Oklahoma summers.

Water leaking from the furnace or air handler. If water is reaching your floor or ceiling, shut off the system at the thermostat and call us. Continued leakage causes structural damage.

Not emergencies (but still call next business day): One room warmer/cooler than others, system running longer than usual, higher electric bills, strange new noises, dirty filter warnings. These matter but they wait until we're not charging after-hours rates.

Our emergency policy: Charlie answers most emergency calls personally. Response time is typically 30-90 minutes depending on your location. We don't charge special "emergency rates" โ€” the diagnostic fee is the same whether you call at 9 AM Monday or 9 PM Saturday. What you pay for is our time and parts, not an artificial urgency surcharge.
